Launched in the early months of 2013, Carven Le Parfum by Carven is an excellent addition to any perfume aficionado's collection of scents. This particular fragrances was designed to capture the emotion of spontaneity and joy in a bottle, which the designer begins by introducing wearers to top notes of mandarin blossom, apricot and white hyacinth. This is closely bonded with heart notes of jasmine, sweet pea and ylang-ylang.

I'm not sure if it's the bottle I just got, or if I just really don't like the combination of opening notes, but at first spray, this smells very old lady to me. But as it dries down, it blossoms into the more earthy and "wet" notes. It's floral doesn't last long on my skin, but it's fine. Not my favorite, but I don't hate it.

High quality, unique scent! This was unlike anything I’d ever sampled when I bought it about 15 years ago (I swear it was circa 2009, contrary to what this site lists): sweet, white, and delicate without being watery. Strong, though. I guess it’s the hyacinth, which I’ve never smelled before. I love this for spring, it’s romantic, complex, classy, and not at all soft. Longevity is amazing; I can still smell it inside my elbow after showering. Downside is that the brand isn’t widely available in the U.S., the flankers are discontinued as well, so I won’t be able to explore what else they have to offer.

My forever favorite designer fragrance that doesn't have that "designer dna". It's the ultimate clean girl scent that's floral, musky and not too sweet. Before I really got into fragrances and started changing up scents everyday it was the one scent that ALWAYS got me compliments. I stupidly gatekept because it was my signature scent. It puzzles me that no one knows/talks about it..i need it to go viral so it doesn't get discontinued!

Sweetly musky; opens with plump apricot and musky florals, gets woodier as it dries but also noticeably more peachy, like dried peach tea. Perfect for warm weather, very pretty with a noticeably strong presence. Projects well above arms length for the first 3 hrs, settles down.
