So good! This is for a "newer" (late 90s?) formulation. I love it. It's ivory soap but buzzy, rich and with big spicy florals. It does smell vintage (but that's awesome!). I will have to break down reviews of Fidji from different timelines...I like them all. This is a little smokey and carroty. It has a deep sweetness but it's green and very lush. Feminine and bold without being too outlandish. Superb!

Try If: you like Gucci Profumo di Fiori + enjoy soap scents + want a very vintage-feel.

The problem for me with this scent is it just smells dated. I LOVE HYACINTH in perfume, it is my favorite flower. And this is an actual decent representation of the earthy green of hyacinth.

But it’s paired with such powdery notes that instead of coming off as lush tropical vibes it comes off as elegant potpourri.

It’s vintage, but the floral notes in here are really dated and while many other vintage scents from the same era (such as white shoulders) have managed to keep up with the times, this hasn’t.

There are too many other fresh green scents on the market now; and other vintage scents that still have a large following, that I don’t feel like this is relevant in today’s market. It becomes quickly forgettable after dry down.

And unlike vintage scents like Shalimar or Samsara, this isn’t distinctive or unique enough to create generational memories a.k.a. “ smells like grandma.” I’m glad I just got a sample because normally the hyacinth alone is enough to make me blind by.

Idgaf this rocks. Green green green floral and powdery pollen anchored by moss. Tropical without being fruity. Unisex in my opinion!

This was a revisitation of an old love.
Firstly, I accidentally bought the EDP which has different notes and which on me is all aldehydes and bitter carnation, resembling L'Air du Temps, a nightmare on my skin.
With the EDT I'm experiencing many more notes and more complexity. Unlike the EDP it is recogniseably green and contains the florals that I loved, and that strange impression of tropical shade. Much better.
It recalls the perfume of my youth but here's the rub, it we...
