Feminine floral fragrance with bitter-aromatic citrus, soapy lavender and musk. It's light, ol'skool and with a face/hand cream vibe. Turns quite waxy, has earthy yellow florals and faint woody green facets. Performance is as expected, projection dies off within half an hour, but it lingers as a waxy, sun screen scent on skin for quite a while. 4711 don't last any longer but smells a heck of a lot better. Skip this and get a giant bottle of that. Peace.

Yardley products were something I was aware of growing up in Canada, and even then they had an old lady vibe. Now that I am grown up and an avid collector of fragrances, I appreciate an old lady vibe. For some reason Yardley products are difficult to find in the US, I had to order a bottle of the "original" (as opposed to the contemporary version, we all know this is not the same formula as the 1870s right? right?) from an online apothecary that imports European products. I'm something of an anglophile (I love Jane Austen and UK film & television, drink copious amounts of tea, love anything with an English countryside vibe) so I thought I would enjoy having this in my collection. I wasn't wrong, but its something I prefer to smell around me rather than smell of if that makes sense.

I love this type of lavender. Bright, aromatic, clean, musky, fresh. I found a vintage of this for a extremely low price and bought it. I remember smelling this at the drugstore with my Grandma back when I was a kid and liking it a lot back then. We were Avon people so I always wore Avon roses roses but I remember my grandma bought me the English Rose once for Christmas. Anyway, vintage Yardley was always good value for money. If you appreciate vintage lavender fragrances like I do you should check this out.

A very fresh and soapy lavender. Sharp without being screechy. It smells good and I will use it, but I also bought Lavande 1902 along with this and that one is the clear winner between the two. If you want a true lavender scent, try Berdoues Lavande 1902.
